How can I
detect transmission damage?
1. The transmission shifts gear with a
jolt.
2. The transmission slips while being
switched
3. There is a delay on starting up.
4. In the higher ranges, the transmission switches
back and forth easily (rotational speed
fluctuates).
5. When approaching a junction, the engine
dies.
6. Vehicle won't move at all.
7. The transmission makes noises.

What
should I do ?
Get the transmission fault memory read out in a
workshop or on our premises.
Then check the transmission fluid. If it is black or
smells as though burnt, mechanical damage to the
transmission should be assumed. If it is still pink
and faults are contained in the transmission fault
memory, such as "magnetic valve defective", it may be that
you "only" have a problem in the control electronics.
In both cases, move the vehicle as little as possible,
otherwise further damage may be done.
